Landowners should not put up fences or signs to obstruct people from exercising their access rights. The local authority has power to remove signs like these, and to remove obstructions and recover the cost from the landowner. Contact your local authority’s Access Officer and ask them to take action. If you are not happy with their response, get in touch with us and we will see if we can help.
