ScotWays works tirelessly to keep open rights of way and to uphold public access to land and water in Scotland. As an independent charity, we receive no public funding for our core activities. Our work is funded by membership subscriptions, fees for legal searches to confirm (and protect) rights of way, project funding, donations and legacies.

We couldn’t operate without volunteers.  They help at our Edinburgh Office and across Scotland with everything from researching path history and keeping our records accurate, to representing us on local access forums, surveying and repairing signposts, and walking paths to keep an eye out for problems and provide up to date route descriptions.
