Born on 12th January 1933 in Menstrie, long resident in Stirling, Rennie was a passionate devotee of the Ochils and Hon. President of the Friends of the Ochils.  Writer and poet, journalist, campaigner, lifelong hillman.  One of the founders of the Scottish Wild Land Group in the early 1980s, a fervent and assiduous campaigner for ‘freedom to roam’, and a member of the ScotWays Board (1985-86).
