Route Description
We have heard reports that this follows an easily identifiable track between two drystane dykes but have not yet received a full survey.

Heritage Information
This is an old track leading to the remains of an abandoned fishing station at Clyth. The fishing stations were where the herring boats brought home their catch to be processed. The herring industry was huge in Scotland and gave a lot of jobs to people who had recently been cleared from their homes.
Clyth station had four fisher houses and a cooperage according to Ordnance Survey in 1871 and is supposed to have the remains of a curing house as well.
