The Society’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 22 November 2025 at 2:30pm at Stirling Agricultural Centre.

The meeting will again be held in hybrid format. If you would like to attend in person, directors and staff would be delighted to meet you. If you are unable to join us in person, do join us by Zoom: please register to receive a meeting link.

At 1:45pm, prior to the formal business, Scottish historian, Prof. Christopher Whatley, will give a talk entitled “Harvie’s Dyke, the people, their liberty and the Clyde”,  the story of an access dispute in the 1820s, involving a landowner, workers and a wall!  The talk will be based on his recently published book.

Whether you intend to come in person or to attend the AGM online, you need to register. You can do this by clicking on the correct button below and completing the booking form.

Click the following options for directions:

From Junction 10 of the M9, head north-west along the A84 towards Callander. Turn right at the next roundabout, signposted ‘Auction Mart’, then take the third left into the car park. The entrance is between the Clyde Vet Group and Angling Active. Click here for directions from Google Maps.

The nearest bus stop is Dobbies Garden World, the seventh stop from Stirling Bus Station on services 59 for Callander or X10A for Glasgow. From the bus stop there is a 10 minute walk to the venue. Follow the footway north-west along the north side of the A84, then at the roundabout turn right along the access road to Stirling Agricultural Centre and take the third road on the left into the car park: the entrance is between the Clyde Vet Group and Angling Active. Plan your journey on travelinescotland.com.

The venue is 5 km from Stirling Rail Station. Follow National Cycle Network route 765 north along Goosecroft Road, Wallace Street, and on a cycleway under the Customs Roundabout to Stirling Bridge. Turn left here following blue signs for Forth Valley College along Ramsay Place and Drip Road. At the college, turn onto a shared use path on the right side of Drip Road which leads to the Highland Gate service area.

Follow the shared use path around the north side of the services, continue past the DVSA checkpoint and turn right in front of the new Prudential office to reach the River Forth. A gravel path leads under the M9 to reach the A84 at the entrance to Dobbies Garden World.

From here you can either: (a) turn right along the A84 for 300m then turn right at the roundabout, (b) cross carefully, cross the historic Drip Bridge, turn right into Chalmerston Road and cross straight over the roundabout, or (c) avoid crossing the A84 by following the footway north-west along its north side. Follow the access road to Stirling Agricultural Centre and take the third road on the left into the car park: the entrance is between the Clyde Vet Group and Angling Active.
