The Herring Road and the Heritage Paths project featured on BBC Radio Scotland’s Out Of Doors programme on the 15th August. One of the show’s presenters, Mark Stephen, set out with the project’s Eleisha Fahy to walk a little of the route and discover its history. He also helped out with some new waymarking, as ScotWays recently secured funding for a year long project to produce a new map of the Lammermuirs in conjunction with signposting work. Signage surveys are already being undertaken by ScotWays volunteers, but additional feedback on routes in the Lammermuirs generally and on signage in particular will be very much welcomed, as this will help inform the work undertaken. If you’d like to catch the show, it’s available online for 4 weeks (starting c1:03 in).
