FOR NOTE OF FIRST DAY OF HEARING IN THIS CASE, AND UPDATES ON ALL ACCESS COURT CASES, SEE EARLIER NEWS STORIES, BELOW.
The second day’s hearing of the Gloag access case took place on 30th October in the Perth Sheriff Court. For background and details of first day of hearing, see earlier news stories, below.
On 30th October, witnesses continued to give evidence on behalf of Mrs Gloag. Mrs Gloag’s gardener described work that he had carried out in the grounds, e.g. making quad bike tracks for Mrs Gloag’s grandchildren. He was also questioned about the importance of some of the trees on the estate. A press photographer described photographs that he had taken of the house from various points in the grounds. Two security consultants gave evidence about the security fence and other security measures.
It is likely to be some time before a decision is reached in this case. It has now been adjourned to 27th November, with further possible dates in January 2007 (3rd, 4th and 5th). Another access case Tuley v Highland Council (Dingwall Sheriff Court) is also due to resume on 27th November.
