Annual General Meeting 2022
The Society’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 19 November 2022 at 11 am. With the relaxation of restrictions, Directors have decided to hold the meeting in hybrid format. If you would like to attend in person, directors and staff would be delighted to see you. You will be able to join us by Zoom if you are unable to join us in person.
At 10.30am, prior to the formal business, our speaker is Zain Sehgal, trustee of “Boots and Beards” who will speak about this grassroots community organisation with an equality mission. Formed in 2016, Boots and Beards’ work targets Black and Minority Ethnic communities living in Glasgow and the surrounding areas, providing opportunities for participation in sport and exploration of Scotland’s outdoors. A multigenerational and whole family approach offers multiple benefits for everyone involved, with activities designed to improve mental and physical wellbeing. By improving access to Scotland’s outdoors, the group promotes a positive Scottish identity and sense of connectedness and belonging.
NOTE. Unfortunately Zain has COVID and will be unable to speak at our AGM today. Instead Jill Malvenan from Scottish Canals has kindly stepped in. She will be talking about “Creating Claypits Local Nature Reserve.”
To attend by Zoom you must Register beforehand and you’ll be transferred to our Zoom page to do so.
